Browser and Extension Version Checks
Running an outdated browser, operating system, or Eleos extension version is a common source of unexpected behavior. Before escalating an issue, confirm that the user's environment is fully up to date.
Update Your Operating System and Browser
Ensure both the operating system and web browser are fully up to date. If a user is unsure how to check or is unable to update without IT approval, they should confirm with their IT team.
Check the Eleos Extension Version
Confirm the user is running the latest version of the Eleos Health EHR Extension:
- Click the Puzzle Piece icon in the top right corner of the browser
- Select Manage Extensions
- Find Eleos Health EHR Extension in the list
- Verify the version number is current. You may need to click Details to view it.
If the version is outdated, the user should update or reinstall the extension from the Chrome Web Store.
Switch Browsers
If the issue persists after the steps above, ask the user to try accessing their EHR and Eleos in a different browser (Chrome or Edge). This helps determine whether the problem is browser-specific and provides useful context for further troubleshooting.
Reinstall the Browser
If your organization allows it, confirm with your IT team and internal management before proceeding. Uninstalling and reinstalling the browser can rule out corrupt browser files as a cause.
